I saw this movie with ma gal palz Anda & Leyna this weekend when they visited Praha. Shit was mad good, y’all. I won’t bother explaining what the movie was about since I embedded the trailer above. Just hit play…don’t be lazy. Going into the cinema outing, I was skeptical about the film (having seen the trailer). The movie seemed to have a sort of Bruno vibe to it, which I was not really in the mood for. Surprisingly, the movie was just the right amount of unique, over-the-top, satirical humor. This combined with the brilliant acting of both Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor made for a movie that has secured itself a place on my top 3 favorite movies for this year…so far…okay so I realize we’re only in the 4th month of the year, but still that is a feat. If I were to characterize this movie in terms of other movies I’ve seen, I’d have to say it’s a cross between “Catch Me if You Can” and “Pulp Fiction.” Needless to say this review is sounding a lot like a bullshit essay on a final exam from one of my many adored literature classes. But really, I highly recommend seeing this movie. It’s def not for those that are prude at heart. Prepare for some intensely sexual man on man scenes. Yeah girl, you know you love it. It’s all part of the offbeat comedic vibe the film has. So stop moseying around on my lame blog and go see it!
